Kapra: PCRA move to boost fuel conservation
Kapra: In order to create awareness about petroleum products conservation, among the people in the Telangana State, the Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) has decided to launch a publicity van.
T Rajesh, DGM (Retail Region-Secunderabad), PCRA, flagged off a publicity van on Friday at Kushaiguda in the presence of SP Selvam Chief Regional Coordinator, PCRA-Southern Region, Mr.JM Naik, SLC Telangana and Mr. B Rajesh Naik, Deputy Director PCRA, SRO-Hyderabad.
The publicity van will cover 1,200 km in a 30-day period covering all major towns and villages in and around Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Sangareddy, Medak, Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda and Warangal districts of Telangana.
The publicity van will travel 40 km per day and will be stationed nearly in 3 or 4 places each day where people tend to gather to spread the message of energy conservation.
PCRA is a non-profit registered society set-up under the aegis of Union Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. It is a national government agency engaged in promoting energy conservation in various sectors of economy by formulating effective policies and strategies.
