Karimnagar: Communist Party of India (CPI) State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy on Wednesday demanded the TRS government clear the doubts of the people about Kaleshwaram project.

Speaking at a press meet at the party office here on Wednesday, Chada Venkat Reddy came heavily on the ruling TRS. Saying that the Telangana people have several doubts on the Kaleshwaram project, he pointed out that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao inaugurated the project before the construction is completed, only to get extra loans from banks and other sources.

Leaving the ruling aside, the CM is behaving like a monarch and behaving stubbornly in solving various people's issues and suppressing the voice of people's organisations and opposition parties, he alleged.

The Central government itself had declared that the Telangana State is debt-ridden due to the huge amounts of loans taken by the TRS government in the name of useless developmental works and irrigation projects,he stated.

Chada questioned when the State is in debt-ridden, what is the need to construct a separate building for Assembly by demolishing the existing one. Is it essential to construct new buildings for MLAs and party? Is this called the new Telangana? he questioned.

The CPI leader alleged that the CM didn't allotted even an inch of land to journalists, who played a key role in achieving separate statehood of Telangana. But allotted one acre of valuable land for just Rs one for Sarada Pitadhipathi. Is this democracy in the Telangana? he questioned.
