Karimnagar: Congress will keep fighting on public issues

Karimnagar: In the recently held municipal elections, the Congress had failed to win majority seats, but it will be in the public and will fight on peoples' issues, stated Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) official spokesperson Dasari Bhumaiah.

Speaking at a press meet at his residence here on Tuesday, Bhumaiah alleged that several TRS leaders and activists were caught red handed while distributing money during the municipal elections and demanded action should be taken against all of them.

"The BJP used Hinduism to win some of the seats. It is trying to provoke the people using communalism, which it should stop in the coming days." Those, who won the election, must focus on the development of Karimnagar city. The government must take immediate decision

and must appoint a regular Vice-Chancellor to Satavahana University, he demanded. TPCC leader Bhumaiah said that the ruling party had won the elections by purchasing votes. It is the responsibility of everyone to protect the democracy. In the coming days, the Congress will be strengthened by filling up all the posts, he informed. Congress leaders O Rathnakar, Rahamath Hussain, Uppari Ravi and Porandla Ramesh were present along with others.
