Karimnagar: Dr BN Rao Health Foundation on Friday organised free anaemia check-up camp at Model School in Gangadhara.

After conducting health check-up, iron syrup and nutrition supplements were distributed to more than 40 students. School headmistress Kaur, Dr BN Rao, teachers and students participated in this programme.

The BN Rao Health Foundation so far had conducted about 1,000 medical camps and screened about 30,000 students of various government schools in the erstwhile Karimnagar district. Of this, more than 7,000 children were found anaemic and were given iron syrup and nutrition supplements.

The Health Foundation founder Dr BN Rao said that they have been working for anaemia-free India and focusing all its attention to eradicate health problems among the students studying in government schools in the district. 'Again, we will conduct medical camp to check whether the anaemic condition of these students is improved or not,' he added.
