Karimnagar: Ensure all arrangements for Sammakka Saralamma Jatara

Karimnagar: Make all necessary arrangements for the convenience of the devotees, who visit Sammakka Saralamma jatara, District Collector K Shashanka directed the officials at a review meeting at the Collectorate conference hall here on Tuesday.

The Collector said that Sammakka Saralamma jatara will be held at four places in Karimnagar district - Rekurthi, Huzurabad, Veenavanka and Shankarpatnam and there is a possibility for a greater number of people visiting the jatara.

In view of the heavy rush, four Nodal Officers have been appointed to conduct the jatara successfully in the district. City Municipal Commissioner Venugopal Reddy is appointed as nodal officer for Rekurthi; RDO PB Shalome for Huzurabad; Mepma PD Pavan Kumar for Veenavanka; and ZP CEP Venkata Madhava Rao is appointed as nodal officer for Shankarpatnam.

The Collector ordered the officials to prepare the lay out, sanitation and communication plans at the place where the jatara will be organised and to establish a control room, which would work 24 hours. Establish temporary bathrooms, toilets and showers and must clean the toilets for every four to five hours, he directed.

Shashanka told to install CCTV cameras at various locations at the jatara location with the coordination of police department; arrange proper lighting system, flood lights, and provide uninterrupted power supply. Establish temporary medical camps at jatara place to provide medical services in case of emergency, he ordered.

Joint Collector Shyam Prasad Lal, DRO Praveenya, ZP CEO Venkata Madhava Rao, Endowments Department Assistant Commissioner Vijaya Ramana Rao, District Medical and Health Officer Sujatha, Mepma PD Pavan Kumar, Excise Superintendent Chandrashekar, RTC RM Jeevan Babu and EE of R&B Venkata Ramana were present along with others.
