Karimnagar: Follow Guru Nanak preachings, says Kamalakar

Karimnagar: The people of Sikh community has celebrated the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak with religious fervour in Karimnagar city on Tuesday. They took out a procession and performed various skills, which attracted the locals. Children, women and aged people along with religious elders of the Sikh community have participated in the celebrations and sung devotional songs praising Guru Nanak at Haridwar in Sikhwada in the city.

BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar visited Haridwar and wished the Sikh community people and offered prayers.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Guru Nanak preached the people to treat all human beings as one and to live in peace and harmony. The people must help each other and support others to grow and protect the age-old traditions and customs, Kamalakar added.

TRS leaders P Narendar, Suda, N Ravi Verma, U Maruthi, K Sattanna, S Sampath Rao, T Ramulu, G Ramesh and B Prasad were present along with others.
