Karimnagar: Forest officials take out rally
Karimnagar: The representatives of Indian Forest Service Officers Association along with the officials of forest department, Karimnagar took out a rally here on Monday, in protest against the attack on Forest Range Officer Ch Anitha in Kagaznagar mandal of Komaram Bheem Asifabad district on Sunday.
Condemning the attack, the association members alleged that TRS party ZP vice-chairman Koneru Krishna along with others attacked the FRO Ch Anitha and other forest officials, who went there to plant saplings under Kaleshwaram project as part of Haritha Haram programme. Moreover, they attacked the officials in the presence of police officials, they pointed out.
As per the orders issued by the State government, the officials of forest department are planting saplings under Haritha Haram programme.
It is the responsibility of the government and police department to provide security to the forest officials and to the other citizens if the programme should continue successfully across the State, they urged.
Later, the association members submitted a memorandum to District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed, requesting him to take the issue to the notice of the State government.
