Karimnagar: Homage paid to Sushma Swaraj
Karimnagar: The district unit leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) paid rich tribute to former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who died due to cardiac arrest on Tuesday night, in Karimnagar on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, party district unit president Basa Satyanarayana said the sudden demise of Sushma Swaraj is a great loss to the BJP. Starting her career as an advocate, she became MLA when she was just 25 years and then elected as MP for seven times and strived hard for the development of the nation as a Union Minister.
With her good speaking skills, Sushma attracted many parliamentarians and played a key role in the formation of separate Statehood of Telangana, that is why the people of Telangana will call her as Chinnamma with gratitude, they said.
She actively participated in politics and became as an example for others. She has become a role model for many young women, who wish to enter into politics.
