Karimnagar: Include Covid-19 treatment under Aarogyasri: BC Sankshema Sangam

Karimnagar: BC Sankshema Sangam district president Annem Prakash demanded that the government should include coronavirus treatment into Aarogyasri scheme and provide free medical treatment to coronavirus patients.

Speaking on the occasion, A Prakash said that Covid-19 is spreading rapidly in all districts across the State and many people, who were affected, couldn't bear the treatment cost. To save the lives of poor people, the government should include Covid-19 treatment into Aarogyasri and must set up special corona hospitals with 50,000 beds in Hyderabad and 10,000 beds in every district headquarters on a war footage by declaring health emergency.

Prakash urged the government to help those people, dependent on caste-based occupations, by sanctioning Rs 10,000 to each family and to announce 50 per cent bonus to the staff of health, sanitation, municipality and police departments, who are striving hard during the hard times.

Prakash also demanded the government announcement of Rs 100 package to journalists across the State, who are working during lockdown despite the threat of contacting the virus.

BC Sankshema Sangam members Varala Jyothi, Nagula Kanakaiah Goud, Gaje Ramesh, Rakesh, Madasu Sanjeev, Doggali Sridhar, Manthene Kiran, Uppu Lingaiah, Mahesh Goud, Gaje Prajyoth, Pavan, SK Jahangeer and Duppetamalli Murali were present along with others.
