Karimnagar: International Yoga Day to be observed tomorrow

Karimnagar: Fifth International Yoga Day, which is observed on June 21 every year across the world, will be celebrated on a grand note here at Ambedkar Stadium from 6 am to 8 am on the day.

International Yoga Day Committee informed Nodal Officer Dr Samyukta Rani and Patanjali Yoga Samiti Coordinator Dr Muthyala Ramesh.

Speaking to the media at Press Bhavan here on Wednesday, Dr Samyukta Rani said that Mass Yoga will be organised on the occasion of International Yoga Day on June 21 at Ambedkar Stadium from 6 to 8 am.

Yoga is the best exercise which will prevent number of diseases. By practising yoga regularly one can keep their healthy fit in condition. Recognising its importance, many people across the world are regularly practising yoga, she added.

International Yoga Committee convenor Dr Rajitha, Yuva Bharat district president Konda Laxman, Patanjali Yoga Samiti district president Lakshminarayana, Ayush Rajeshwar and several peoples representatives, district officials, members of Nehru Yuva Kendra along with representatives of Bharat Swabhiman, students of various educational institutions will be participating in the International Yoga Day, she informed.

Dr Rajitha appealed the people of various sections to attend the programme in large numbers and make International Yoga Day celebrations successful.
