Karimnagar: Let's build a child-friendly society

Karimnagar: Protect the children and their rights need to be widespread, said Karimnagar DRO Praveenya. Speaking at a review meeting held as part of Child Rights Week, here on Friday, she advised Woman and Child Welfare Department to prepare a poster highlighting child rights and keep it on all public places.

She instructed the DEO and education department to conduct games and other competitions and send the final list. Kite flying is also planned and the kites should be prepared by the children in a creative manner, she added.

The DRO told the DM&HO to organise health check-ups in a big way covering all the children and to conduct village organisation meetings with special focus on child rights.

DPO has to conduct special gram sabha in all villages on child sex ratio and child rights. The CDPOS need to coordinate with the officials in all these activities and organise rallies. She instructed all the district officials to participate in Marathon Walk on November 11.

DWO Sharada, CWC chairman Komuraiah, CDPO Sabita, BRB coordinator Saraswati, DCPO Parveen, child line coordinator Sampath, Sakhi admin Laxmi, Kasturi Sharadha DM&HO Ram Mohan, DPO, APD, DEO, police department, NGOs and others participated in the meeting.
