Karimnagar: National seminar held at Satavahana University

Karimnagar: A three-day national seminar was held on 'Science and Technology for Sustainable Development with Women Empowerment' at Chemistry Department of Satavahana University here on Tuesday.

Attending as a chief guest at the seminar, ISCA convenor, Hyderabad Chapter, Prof V Satyanarayana said that compared to previous years, women of the present generation are competing with men in all fields. Understanding their efforts and contribution in terms of development, the government has allotted large amount of funds in the name of fellowship for the women, who are showing extra-ordinary skills in research fields, he stated.

Prof D Ashok said the future generations of women, who are educated, will highly develop as they will be nourished and will brought up in disciplined manner. Special Guest Prof P Srinivas said the development of all sections of people is must and will enable good profits in all sectors in the days to come.

Senior Scientist and Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar Awardee said that women in present generation are making everything possible and doing all works with ease.

Dr D Srinivas Reddy, Dr Vaddiraju Namratha and Dr M Sarasija coordinated the seminar. Several research scholars from various universities along with faculty members participated in the national seminar.
