Karimnagar: Police speed up probe in TRS MLA's kin death

The police fastened up the probe into the death of TRS MLA relatives who died after their car plunged into Kakatiya canal in Karimnagar. The police are verifying the call data of deceased Srinivas Reddy.

Srinivas, brother-in-law of TRS MLA Dasari Manohar Reddy fell into the canal along with his wife, Radha and daughter, Vinaya Sri on January 27 while proceeding to Hyderabad. Twenty days after the incident, the police fished out the bodies on Monday and shifted to a hospital for post-mortem.

The bodies were retrieved after the inflows were stopped for two days.

The police said that the complaint was filed against the incident a week after the incident. They said that the accident might have occurred due to over-speeding and the water-level was too high in the canal.
