Karimnagar: Teachers promotions in January, says MLC K Raghotham Reddy
Karimnagar: MLC Koora Raghotham Reddy said the Telangana government is ready to give the long-awaited promotions to teachers by next January. He participated in the membership campaign held under the joint auspices of PRTU (TS) Karimnagar district and Veenavanka mandal units on Friday and addressed teachers at several schools in Veenavanka mandal.
The MLC said that he explained the problems of the teachers with IT Minister KT Rama Rao and appealed him to solve them.
'Responding positively, KTR had directed the Education Ministry officials to take steps to solve all issues in a manner that would not be financially burdensome, to give promotions and inter-district transfers of teachers during Sankranthi holidays.'
He called for unity among the teachers and various unions in fighting for their problems and assured to strive to resolve the problems of teachers on the council as an agenda.
MLC Raghotham Reddy congratulated PRTU (TS) district representatives for maintaining record-level of membership registration.
PRTU (TS) Karimnagar district branch president Polampally Adarshan Reddy, State vice-president Boddireddy Dayakar Reddy, secretary E Prasad, Veenavanka mandal president and secretaries Thukaram and Karunakar Reddy, district representatives Sunita, Thalla Thirupathi, Dingari Madhu and G Umareddy, headmasters of respective schools participated in the programme.
