Karimnagar will become centre for national highways: Vinod

Karimnagar: As the city is spreading enormously with the merger of surrounding villages, it is becoming difficult to lay interlinking roads in new colonies. However, road laying works will be taken up in the coming days and Karimnagar will become a centre for national highways, said former MP Boinapalli Vinod Kumar.

As part of campaigning for Parliament elections, MP Vinod Kumar interacted with the members of Walkers Association in the early hours of Tuesday at SRR College grounds here. Vinod Kumar said that all the people in the city are admiring the TRS government after observing the enormous development that took place in Karimnagar in just four and half years.

Apart from that Karimnagar city has been secured a position in the list of Smart Cities and DPR with Rs 250 crores ready for transforming Karimnagar into Smart City.

Vinod Kumar said that Science Centre was sanctioned for Karimnagar. Once the Science Centre is inaugurated, students of Adilabad, Nizamabad and Medak districts will be highly benefitted. There is a need for Triple IT educational institution in Karimnagar, he felt.

The MP urged the members of Walkers Association along with people to give him another chance by electing him in the coming Lok Sabha elections for bringing up some more projects and completion of pending works.

MLA Gangula Kamalakar, MLC Naradasu Laxman Rao, ZP Chairperson Tula Uma, Mayor Ravinder Singh, Tescob chairman K Ravinder Rao and Minorities corporation chairman Akbar Hussain were present along with others.
