Karimnagar wrestlers win 65th SGF wrestling championship
Karimnagar: The Karimnagar district has won 65th School Games Federation (SGF) Wrestling Championship held at Nirmal on Monday, said Karimnagar district Wrestling Association secretary and team Coach Mohammed Kareem. The championship was organised by Adilabad district SGF.
Under-14 Boys, Karimnagar district got 86 points and won seven gold, two silver and one bronze medals. Under-17, the team got 84 points and won four gold, five silver and one bronze.
Under-14 Boys freestyle - B Praveen (35 kg), A Rahul (41 kg), B Raghavendra (44 kg), GG Praveenkumar (48 kg), P Shivakumar (52 kg), S Nithin (68 kg), and Darshith (75 kg) won gold medals. Ch Rajesh (57 kg) and A Saitheja (62 kg) won silver medals. In 38 kg, B Sathish won bronze medal.
Under-17 Boys Greeco Roman category – in 51 Kg A Uday, in 60 kg K Akhil, in 65 kg R Mahesh, and in 71 kg K Naveen won gold medals. In 45 kg L Shiva, in 48 kg R Jeevandas, 55 kg B Saikishore, and in 85 kg Aman won silver medals. In 81 kg M Vinay won bronze medal.
