Karnataka man suspected of being infected by coronavirus dies in Hyderabad

A man suspected of being infected by Coronavirus has died in a private hospital in Hyderabad on Tuesday night. The patient hails from Kalaburagi in the Karnataka district.

The suspected Covid-19 patient identified as Hussain Siddiqui was admitted to the Gulbarga Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) earlier and was later shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad.

District health officer Dr. MA Jabbar asked Kalaburagi nodal officer to make sure that all the precautionary measures will be taken till the final rites of the deceased. According to the GIMS hospital authorities, Siddiqui has travel history from Saudi Arabia. Earlier this month, he was admitted to hospital with cough, fever and cold.

The Health Department has collected samples of Siddiqui and the report is awaited.
