Kavitha slams BJP apathy to Telangana

Hyderabad: MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha slammed Union Minister Prakash Javadekar and the Bharatiya Janata Party over their charge sheet against the GHMC body.

While hitting out at the BJP, Kavitha vigorously pointed out the basic template that BJP follows in every election where it is not in power. During her campaign in Gandhi Nagar division, she said the TRS party owed no explanation to the BJP over the latter's accusations.

KCR-led TRS was democratically elected to power and leveling such allegations such a party would amount to questioning people's mandate. She said that the extent of discrimination against the States not ruled by BJP could be felt as no additional funding was ever made available to Telangana which was carved out only 6 years ago. The attitude same was also witnessed during the recent GHMC floods.

The Centre released over Rs 600 crore for Karnataka and nothing was given for Hyderabad. Kavitha said that BJP did not support Telangana and its people, and, as such, in the upcoming GHMC elections, Hyderabad would not support the BJP.
