Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) official spokesperson Indira Shobhan on Friday said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was afraid of his daughter Kavitha's defeat in Nizamabad Parliamentary Constituency and this was the reason to induct Telugu Desam leader Mandava Venkateswar Rao into Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).

Addressing the media, she said that time is running out for the Chief Minister and added that the Election Commission has been acting as a puppet in the hands of TRS chief.

She deplored the attitude of the EC for not giving symbols to the farmers who have filed nominations as independents from Nizamabad PC. She made it clear that the TRS could not win more than six seats and the results of the MLC elections would repeat in Parliament elections.

Another official spokesperson Satish Madiga said that it was the Congress which has given representation in the legislative houses to the downtrodden sections.

He said that the Congress has implemented several schemes for the welfare of the scheduled castes people. He alleged that the Chief Minister has been trying to scrap the Indian Constitution by making allegations that it contains errors.
