KCR asks party leaders not to take BJP lightly in civic polls
Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president K T Rama Rao asked the party leaders not to take the BJP lightly in the coming municipal elections and asked them to make sure victory of the party in all the municipalities.
The TRS leader was talking to the party leaders while reviewing the membership drive. According to sources, the TRS working president wanted the party leaders to be cautious with BJP especially in the constituencies where the Saffron party has members of Lok Sabha.
"Work more effectively without giving any chance to the BJP in the municipal elections.
Be more cautious in the municipalities like Tandur, and Medchal. There are chances that the party leaders are likely to lose with slender margin. Do not give them a chance because they will be jumping up and down even if they win a small number of seats," Rama Rao said in the meeting according to sources.
Sources also said the TRS leader was unhappy with the slow progress of membership in the capital city. The TRS leader said he would review the membership in the city once again.
He also sought what were the reasons for low membership in some districts and suggested corrective measures. During the meeting the TRS leader talked to each of the in charge and inquired about the progress of membership and also sought about the reasons for low or high membership.
