KCR focuses on overall development of villages: Government Whip Gampa Govardhan
Kamareddy: Government Whip Gampa Govardhan said Chief Minister KCR has been focusing on the development of villages since the TRS formed government for the second time.
Govardhan distributed tractors to six Grama Panchayats of Dhomakonda mandal and Reddypet village panchayat in Ramareddy mandal in Kamareddy constituency on Saturday.
He said that the development of villages during the last 70 years had not been taken care of. Govarthan said the government would provide all facilities in villages through the Palle Pragati scheme. "The Chief Minister's desire is that our villages should be clean and green like that of the US and Britain. Village development had not taken place in the past. The houses were in a dilapidated condition," he said.
"Sewage drains are now visible. The neglect of the rulers of the past had made it difficult to cremate the dead in the villages. There is no cemetery in the village. Seeing all this, Chief Minister KCR Pallepragati said that sewerage, grave yards and tanks are being constructed. Tractors are being distributed in each village. He said it was an ongoing process. State Grants are deposited in the Gram Panchayat accounts with the funds provided by the Central Government for each Gram Panchayat,"Goverdhan added.
Mujeeboddin, chairman of the DCMS and the Sarpanches of the respective villages participated in the event.
