KCR gives LB stadium meeting a miss

Hyderabad: TRS president K Chandrashekar Rao on Friday disappointed party leaders and cadre from four Lok Sabha constituencies in the city by skipping the public meeting in Hyderabad.

The Chief Minister was scheduled to address two election meetings, one at Miryalguda in Nalgonda district and second at LB Stadium in Hyderabad. KCR attended the meeting at Miryalaguda, but he skipped the Hyderabad meeting at the last minute.

There were many empty chairs at the venue and some of them who arrived also left the grounds as it was 8 pm. The Hyderabad meeting was scheduled to be held at 7 pm, but as the Chief Minister did not turn up, the crowd started thinning.

Ministers Md Mahamood Ali, Ch Malla Reddy, T Srinivas Yadav and others addressed the gathering and introduced the candidates P Srikanth (Hyderabad), T Sai Kiran (Secunderabad), G Ranjeet Reddy (Chevella), M Rajashekar Reddy (Malkajgiri) to the people.

Minister Talasani Srinias Yadav quoted the Chief Minister as saying that his arrival at the meeting was delayed.

The Chief Minister directed the Minister to make an appeal to the people to vote for the TRS. The Chief Minister promised to hold another meeting soon, he said.
