KCR is acting as dictator: TSRTC Warangal employees
a (Warangal): The TSRTC employees flayed Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's decision to sack them.
The employees who staged a protest at the public garden in Hanamkonda on Monday accused the TRS government of being insensitive towards their justifiable demands. They held placards of their demands and raised slogans against the State government.
"KCR is behaving like a dictator by suppressing their strike. Instead of solving the issues amicably, the government showed its highhandedness by sacking all the striking staff. It's nothing but a massacre of democracy. Whatever demands we put forward have been pending for a long time. There is no one to listen to our issues. It's being done intentionally to privatise the RTC," TSRTC Warangal JAC leader Sammaiah said.
The demand for merging the RTC with the government is to pull out the RTC from financial troubles. The wages are not paid on time, he said, referring to the reasons that forced them to launch the indefinite strike.
BJP Warangal Urban district president Rao Padma Reddy said that KCR had betrayed the same RTC employees who played the active role in the separate State agitation. She found fault with the TRS government for sacking the employees who participated in the strike. People will teach KCR a fitting lesson for throwing 48,000 families on to the road on the eve of Dasara festival, she said.
BJP State spokesperson E Rakesh Reddy said that their party will stand by the RTC employees and fight against the State government until their demands are fulfilled. Due to KCR's autocratic approach, people in the State are put to hardships, he said, referring to the transport problems.
Meanwhile, the RTC authorities claimed that they have operationalised 66 percent of the services in the erstwhile Warangal district.
