KCR is big supporter of poor: MLA Goverdhan

Kamareddy: MLA Gampa Goverdhan on Tuesday said that war against poverty should be waged before moving towards Bangaru Telangana.

The MLA was addressing meeting organised to disburse Kalyana Laxmi cheques to beneficiaries in Kamareddy town.

Goverdhan said for the benefit of people Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is implementing several welfare schemes for poor. KCR is a big support to the poor people, he added. The MLA distributed cheques worth Rs 92, 88,000 to 97 persons under the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme.

Similarly, the kin of two persons, who had recently died of electric shock, were also handed over Rs 5 lakh.

Komma Devaiah of Lachchapet village in Macharreddy mandal and Bhukya Lavanya, a resident of Macharreddy had died of an electric shock and the government has given financial assistance to their families, said Gampa Govardhan.
