KCR, KTR cheated oustees: MLA Jeevan Reddy
Rajanna Sircilla: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and the TRS party working president KT Rama Rao cheated the oustees who handed over their native place and lands for Mid-manair Dam to the government, said the Congress party senior leader and MLC TJeevan Reddy here on Wednesday.
The oustees of Mid-Manair along with the leaders of opposition parties took out a massive protest rally here in Siricilla town demanding the government to do justice with them. Even the villagers of the Kodurupaka, the KCR's wife native place also participated in the rally.
Speaking on the occasion, Jeevan Reddy said that the oustees are the people who sacrificed their fields, lands, houses and their native place for the sake of future generations.
In Vemulawada, on the temple premises of Sri Rajarajashwara Swamy, KCR promised the oustees that he would allot double bedroom houses and give Rs5 lakh as ex gratia but did not keep his promise till date. From the past 13 years onwards, the oustees are urging the government to give compensation for the fields and houses they lost under Mid-manair. But CM KCR and his son KTR are deceiving the people with words.
Whereas his relative and Rajya Sabha member Santosh Kumar took initiation for giving compensation to his relatives ignoring others. CM KCR showered many things including Rs10 lakhs for each family of his native place Chinthamadaka, where as he did not show any affection to Kodurupaka, the village of wife's native place.
The government must sanction the compensation to the oustees to all those who crossed 18 years of age under Mid-manair like that of oustees of Mallannasagar along with providing employment opportunities by releasing a special gazette, he demanded. If the government behaves negligently in sanctioning of compensation to the oustees of Mid-manair, the Congress party along with other opposition parties would lay siege to the Assembly in the coming days, he warned.
