Telangana BJP rules out any impact on party’s stand

Hyderabad: Telangana State BJP leadership felt that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi would not favour the TRS in any manner as meeting was purely to discuss State's issues.

According to party sources, certain quarters in the pink party are spreading that the 30-minute meeting between the two leaders has brought peace between the two political parties who have fought bitterly in the Dubbaka bypoll and GHMC elections.

Speaking to The Hans India, the State core committee member of the BJP said the meeting would have no bearing on the political stand of the party and the meeting of KCR should be seen like any other State CM meeting the PM in his official capacity.

Earlier too, BJP National OBC Morcha president Dr K Laxman stated that the saffron party leadership was serious about fighting upfront in the political arena with the TRS and the BJP was working towards ending the corruption and dynastic rule run by the TRS government in Telangana and to bring the saffron party to power in 2023.

"Mission-2023 is our agenda," he said, adding that the party was gearing up for contesting Nagarjunasagar bypoll. "The party will decide who will be its candidate. We are not looking for any alliance and only working to prove that the BJP is the only potential alternative to the pink brigade in the State," Laxman added.
