KCR rolls out action plan to keep GPs clean, green
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday announced the launch of '60-Day Action Plan' to keep the Gram Panchayats clean and green.
As part of the action plan, power week for energy conservation and Haritha Haram to plant saplings will also be taken up in every panchayat.
The Chief Minister held a meeting with the newly elected sarpanches and top officials to implement the action plan in a successful manner.
Under the plan, a big drive will be undertaken to strengthen the drainage system, maintenance of hygienic conditions at all public places including educational institutions, Anganwadi centres and hospitals every day.
Removal of debris and dilapidated structures, repair of abandoned bore wells and dry wells, construction of graveyards and finalisation of annual and five year plans to develop every panchayat as a unit will be part of the action plan, the Chief Minister said.
During power week, he asked the authorities to address the grievances related to energy supply, installation of LED bulbs in all streets and repair of the damaged electricity polls and transformers on a war-footing.
To ensure massive plantation programme, KCR directed the officials to set up nurseries in every village and make available saplings to everyone.
He asked the officials to utilise the funds earmarked for the employment guarantee scheme for the implementation of Haritha Haram.
