Mahabubabad: The state government has plans to do away with terms such as revenue, collector etc, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said, addressing an election rally for TRS Lok Sabha candidate Maloth Kavitha here on Thursday.

"A plan is on the anvil to revamp the existing revenue department. In fact, the words 'revenue and collector' belong to British era and they are irrelevant considering the changes in the establishment where the government itself was dispensing financial assistance to poor and farmers," KCR said.

Referring to plethora of land litigations in the state, KCR said that the state government has plans to introduce Conclusive Land Titling System (CLTS) providing guaranteed title, and compensation in case of any ownership dispute.

With the kind of technology such as GPS that is available, the land disputes will be solved once for all, he asserted.

Promising to establish a medical college in Mahabubabad at the behest of Maloth Kavitha, KCR said that he would return to Mahabubabad sometime later to look into problems such as irrigation and Podu land.

The idea behind the creation of smaller districts is to take the administration to the doorsteps of people, especially in Mulugu and Mahabubabad where the population is predominantly tribes, he said.

Talking on Lok Sabha elections, KCR said that country had seen enough of Congress and BJP who between them ruled no fewer than 66 years. "Now time has come for the people to think about the Federal Front. If TRS can win 16 Lok Sabha seats, it will have a say in the Central government, which we need dearly for the overall development of Telangana," he said.

The wordy duel between Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi is only to cover up their parties' failure, KCR said, stating that both the leaders have no concern towards people's hardships.

He said that Telangana had witnessed a huge development since its formation. The kind of growth Telangana had seen also shut the mouths of its detractors. Moreover, Telangana has become role model to many other States in the country, he said, referring to Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, pension etc.

"Even though the Congress had promised to waive off crop loans to the tune of Rs 2 lakh more than that of TRS' Rs 1 lakh, farmers didn't believe it. The TRS will keep its promise by waiving off crop loans in three or four instalments," he said.

Referring to sitting Mahabubabad MP Azmeera Seetharam Naik, the TRS supremo said that due to some compulsions he had to change the candidate. Seetharam Naik didn't do anything wrong and party has utmost respect for him, he added.

Minister for Panchayat Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Parliamentary party leader K Keshava Rao, MLA B Shankar Naik, MLCs K Srihari and Satyavathi Rathod were among others present.
