The meeting will discuss the challenges being faced by the farmers as well as the government in promoting the farming as a profitable profession. The Chief Minister conducted a high-level meeting with officials here and reviewed the progress in the procurement of paddy from farmers. He discussed the proposal to introduce alternative crop system to ensure that farmers get more income and reduce the input cost incurred on farming every season.

KCR said that the irrigation facilities, free power supply to agriculture and input subsidy including cash incentive under Rythu Bheema will put an end to the woes of the farming community.
