KCR to lay stone for IT tower in Siddipet

Hyderabad: As part of the plan to promote Information Technology in Tier-II cities across the Telangana State, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will lay the foundation stone for the IT Tower at Duddeda village of Kondapaka mandal in Siddipet district on Thursday.

The proposed IT Tower will provide employment to the local youth and cater to the needs of local Engineering Colleges in updating the technical education to meet the growing demand for techies in the fast-growing IT industry.

The government has recently sanctioned Rs 45 crore to set up the IT tower in an area of three acres. The new facility will come upon a total built-up area of around 60,000 square feet. The tower would have two buildings of six floors each and more than 1,000 persons will be employed. The construction of IT tower will be completed in a year's time.

Several IT companies, including Infosys will sign Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the state government officials at the venue. Finance minister T Harish Rao visited the place and reviewed the arrangements for the foundation stone ceremony. KCR will also inaugurate infrastructure development projects like the government guest house at Ranganayaka Sagar reservoir during his one-day visit to Siddipet.
