KCR to shower nominated posts on TRS leaders
Hyderabad: Chief Minister and TRS President K Chandrashekar Rao is likely to give away nominated posts to the party leaders and the leaders, who were part of the Telangana agitation (Udyamakarulu) are also slated to get rewarded.
According to sources, the chief minister has told some of the senior leaders of the party of giving nominated posts and this time the leaders (udyamakarulu), who were part of the Telangana agitation.
According to sources, senior leader and Nizamabad Rural MLA Bajireddy Goverdhan is likely to be given the chairman post of Rythu Samanvaya Samithi.
Sources said that the chief minister has also assured the TRS MLA of giving the post.
Earlier, this post was held by Gutha Sukhender Reddy, who later became MLC and chairman of Telangana Legislative Council. Sources said that former Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Assembly KR Suresh Reddy is also eyeing for this post.
Similarly, Government Whip Palla Rajeshwar Reddy is likely to be given the post of vice-chairman of Mission Bhagiratha.
Sources said that the TRS MLC was getting rewarded for his efforts in Huzurnagar by-polls. Earlier, the post of vice-chairman was held by V Prashanth Reddy, who is a minister now.
Sources also said that the chief minister may give the Musi River Front Development Corporation to MLA D Sudheer Reddy. Sudheer Reddy has earlier held the post of Chairman of HUDA (Hyderabad Urban Development Authority) during the Congress government in undivided Andhra Pradesh.
The chief minister had given nominated posts to some individuals, who actively participated in the Telangana agitation. The TRS leaders said that the latest appointment of senior advocate T Sri Ranga Rao as chairman of the TSERC should be an indication to this.
Sources also said that the MLAs are likely to be given post of chairmen of some corporations. The names of the leaders, who are likely to get the nominated post are also doing rounds in the party.
The leaders include MLA M Padma Devender Reddy, former Speaker of Telangana Assembly S Madhusudhana Chary, former minister J Krishna Rao and others.
