KCR's comments demoralising RTC staff: Kodandaram in Nalgonda

Nalgonda: Telangana Janata Samithi founder president Professor Kodandaram felt that RTC workers agitation cannot be suppressed with illegal arrests, and the use police force would further intensity the strike.

On Monday, he met the agitating workers at the RTC bus stand in Nalgonda and expressed his solidarity with them. Addressing the gathering, he condemned the arrest of CPI leader Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao during his hunger strike in Hyderabad.

He raised objections over the government playing the role of a mute spectator in the RTC issue and immediate action over CPI leader Kunamneni's hunger strike in support of agitating RTC workers.

He asserted that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's comments on the ongoing strike and the future of Corporation was objectionable and his unthoughtful comments were demoralising the workers.

He demanded the government to address the demands of RTC workers in an amicable way and save the public transport system in the interest of the people of the State.

He called upon all opposition parties and civil groups and people of the State to make RTC workers Sakala Janula Samara Bheri meeting to be held in Hyderabad on Wednesday a grand success.

Telangana Inti Party founder president Cheruku Sudhakar, CPM party leader Salim, Congress leader Mumtaz, RTC JAC leader Narender, RTC workers and others were present.

Later, as part of Statewide programme, the RTC workers along with leaders of Opposition parties took out a rally from bus stand to the Collectorate, where a team of delegation of RTC workers submitted a memorandum to the district officials during the Grievance Day programme held at the Collectorate.
