Keenly observing merger of RTC with AP government: Ministers
Hyderabad: Telangana Ministers on Saturday said that the government was observing the outcome of the merger process of the RTC employees in Andhra Pradesh.
The ministers including T Srinivas Yadav, Satyavathi Rathod and Md Mahamood Ali in separate press conferences said that government was observing the merger process in Andhra Pradesh and also the outcome of the process. The Andhra Pradesh government is taking up the merger process and also formed a committee.
Srinivas Yadav said, the TRS never promised to merge RTC with government, adding the government would bring back the past glory of the Corporation.
The intension of the government is to ensure no inconvenience is caused to the people, he added. The minister criticised the BJP and Congress leaders for supporting the strike. The BJP has privatised the RTC in Madhya Pradesh and Congress did same in Chhattisgarh.
The BJP government at the Centre has been privatising the Railways, Air India, trains but the leaders in the State are talking differently, said Yadav.
He challenged the BJP and Congress leaders to take up merger of RTCs with government in the States ruled by their parties. The minister warned strict action against people spreading fake messages.
Md Mahamood Ali said that the chief minister requested the RTC staff not to go on strike during Dasara and Bathukamma but still the workers are continuing the strike.
TRS government gave 44 per cent fitment to the TSRTC workers, which was more than the government employees, he claimed.
