Keep an eye on your children: Collector to parents
Nizamabad: District Collector M Rammohan Rao advised the parents and teachers to keep an eye on children and students when they go out. "The potholes filled with water during rainy season and manholes are a serious threat to pedestrians. School-going children may become their first victims," he said.
The Collector suggested the teachers and students to watch where the students are going during school timings. He requested the parents to ensure safety to their children while they are in house.
MRM Rao ordered the officials of concerned departments to take serious measures to cover dangerous manholes and potholes. He already met the officials in this regard. Also, he ordered all the officials concerned to do their duty for the wellbeing of the residents of Nizamabad.
Meanwhile, the villagers strongly protested the death of Nagaram children and demanded action to be taken against those, who dug the potholes. Nagaram villagers on Monday staged a protest before the Nizamabad Collectorate demanding action against soil mafia.
They alleged that three children died due to the potholes that were formed due to soil smuggling.
