Kerala elephant death: Hyderabad man announces Rs 2 lakh reward for tracing miscreants
The heart-wrenching story of the pregnant elephant's death in Kerala created massive outrage on social media. Netizens across the country vented out anger over the inhumane act. Meanwhile, a man from Hyderabad has announced Rs 2 lakh cash reward for identifying the miscreants who are responsible for the elephant's death.
BT Srinivasan, general secretary of United Federation of Resident Welfare Associations, Hyderabad announced the reward taking to his Twitter handle. "I want to offer a reward of 2 lakhs from my personal savings to the person who gives information about the miscreants who made a pregnant elephant eat a pineapple stuffed with crackers. The elephant, which died in Kerala's Malappuram," he tweeted.

On May 27, 2020 - the elephant died standing in water after eating crackers stuffed pineapple in Kerala's Palakkad. The crackers exploded in her mouth damaging her jaw. The wild elephant had left the forests of Silent Valley in Palakkad district and entered a nearby village in search of food. The elephant is said to have given the pineapple by some locals.
After suffering injuries, the elephant walked around in the village, in searing pain and in hunger. Later she ventured into the water to get relief from pain where she died.
