Khammam: All eligible poor will get 2BHKs, assures Agri Minister
Wanaparthy: Reiterating that all eligible houseless poor would be given double bedroom houses, Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy said that under first phase, the State government had sanctioned 1,400 double bedroom houses to Wanaparthy district and most of them were under various stages of completion.
"Many people are expressing apprehensions that the poor would not get double bedroom houses. However, it is not true. All eligible houseless poor people will get double bedroom houses in a phased manner. At present, we have got 1,400 2BHKs under phase-1 and all these houses will be completed and handed over to the beneficiaries. However, under the second phase, we are urging the government to sanction 2,000 more," said Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, during a programme held in Wanaparthy on Wednesday.
Recently, when the Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy visited Wanaparthy on Tuesday, the Agriculture Minister raised the issue of granting more double bedroom to Wanaparthy and also sought Speaker's help in convincing the State government.
The Agriculture Minister alleged that the opposition parties like Congress and others not able to digest the good work done by the TRS government were lodging cases in the courts and trying to delay the land procurement process for the construction of double bedroom houses. He said the opposition parties instead of appreciating the good work done by the government and giving constructive suggestions were creating hurdles in the way of development.
"The Congress is the real enemy of Telangana people. They are creating hurdles in every development activities taken up by the government. They filed cases in National Green Tribunal to halt Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Project, filed cases in the High Court to stop the land procurement process for double bedroom houses and now they are crying about corruption in power projects and welfare schemes like Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak. They never did anything good to the people of Telangana when they were in power and resorted to many scams and now when we are developing our Telangana farmers and trying to uplift the downtrodden, the Congress and other parties are throwing mud on the ruling party. However, overcoming all these hurdles, the TRS government is committed and will definitely achieve its goals and fulfil all its poll promises," said the Minister.
