Khammam : Celebrations erupt over Nama's elevation as TRS Floor Leader in Lok Sabha.

Khammam: The TRS workers and leaders have conducted celebrations over the appointment of Khammam MP-elect Nama Nageswar Rao as the TRS Floor Leader in Lok Sabha.

The party workers in large numbers gathered at the TRS district headquarters and celebrated Nama's appointment. Nama who was elected as Member of Parliament from Khammam for the first time in 2009 had served as the TDP Parliamentary Leader. Born in Balapala village in erstwhile Warangal, Nama studied at Pavloncha and Kothagudem towns and for some time, he worked as a daily labourer at Kothagudem Thermal Power Station (KTPS) and later became a plant assistant.

He started Madhucon Constructions and was a pioneer of granite industry in undivided Andhra Pradesh before entering politics. He has been engaged in social service activities through Nama Muthiah Memorial Trust, which was founded in memory of his father.

Speaking to The Hans India after his appointment as the party Floor Leader in Lok Sabha, Nama said, " I am grateful to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for making me the party Floor Leader in Lok Sabha, and to the people of Khammam for electing me. I will ensure Central clearance for all pending projects in erstwhile Khammam as well as Telangana and will make efforts to get Central funds for the development projects in the State."
