Khammam: Collector inspects Palle Pragathi works in Tallada, Kalluru mandals

Khammam: District Collector RV Karnan inspected the Palle Pragathi works in various mandals of the district on Thursday. He toured Tallada and Kalluru mandals and visited Tallada, Vengannapeta, Padamara Lokavaram, Pullaiah Banjara, Pochavaram and Chinnakorukondi villages. The Collector examined the works of dumping yards, graveyards, 2BHK houses and sink pits.

After the inspection, Karnan reviewed the works with the officers concerned and directed them to expedite the works taken up under Palle Pragathi programme. He informed that flying teams would make surprise visit to the villages and inspect the works. He later expressed displeasure over the sanitation works and maintenance of nursery in Vengannapeta village.

He ordered the officials concerned to give notices to the village secretary if there was any negligence with regard to works. He ordered the village officials to immediately purchase tractors and also directed the medical officials to conduct blood tests for all women under Mission Nari programme and distribute iron tablets to those suffering from anaemia.

Kalluru Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) Sivaji, Tahsildar Mangilal, MPDO Narmadha, Sarpanches and officials of other departments were present during the Collector's visit.

Observes nomination filing process Meanwhile, the Collector aslo observed the nomination filing process for the upcoming municipal elections in Wyra. He visited the strongroom and counting hall and interacted with the officers besides giving them instructions. The Collector later interacted with the candidates who filed their papers on the day. Wyra Municipal Commissioner Vijayanandh and other officers were present during the Collector's visit.
