Khammam: Ex-gratia distributed to the kin of deceased RTC workers

Khammam: District Collector R V Karnan distributed ex-gratia to family members of deceased RTC employees in his chamber here on Friday. RTC driver D Srinivas Reddy and conductor K Neeraja have committed suicides when the state-wide RTC strike was in progress.

Family members of both RTC employees have received the cheques from the Collector. RTC driver Sheikh Khajamiya, who died of heart stroke was also given ex-gratia. A cheque was handed over to kin of driver.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector informed that the government has released Rs 2 lakh each ex-gratia to the family members of the deceased RTC workers. RTC Regional Manager Krishna Murthy informed that the other benefits from the department will also be handed over to the family members of the deceased.
