Khammam: Incensed TRS takes on Bhatti for shooting letter to Jagan
Khammam: MLC Dr Palla Rajeshwar Reddy has come down heavily on Congress MLA Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka for the latter's letter to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy asking him not to attend Kaleswaram project inauguration.
Palla felt that the Congress leaders needed to change their mindset regarding irrigation projects in the State. "The Congress leaders who objected to formation of separate Telangana have later opposed construction of irrigation projects by filing petitions before courts," he alleged.
Addressing the media on Tuesday, Palla advised Bhatti to act wisely and visit the Kaleswaram project once. "The Congress leaders could not discourage Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao with their false accusations as he had faced many hardships in executing the projects," the TRS leader said.
Even as the Opposition parties have been creating hurdles, the Chief Minister had ensured execution of the project. The State government committedly worked towards completion of Kaleswaram project in record time. The project would be a lifeline to Telangana, Rajeshwar Reddy said.
He further stated that the people in Telangana would celebrate the inauguration of Kaleswaram project as they had celebrated creation of separate Telangana.
"Steps have been made for storage of about 100 tmcft water," the MLC said, adding that effective measures for the completion of Sitarama Lift Irrigation Project in erstwhile Khammam would be taken.
Khammam MLA P Ajay Kumar, MLC Balasani Lakshminarayana, party leaders T Madhu, K Murali and others attended the press meet.
