Khammam: Left parties protest against petrol, diesel rates hike
Khammam: Protesting the hike in petrol and diesel prices and also of essential commodities, leaders of Left parties like CPM, CPI, CPI (ML) took out a rally in Khammam town on Thursday. Later, they stated a protest before the Khammam Collectorate.
Speaking on the occasion, leaders Pothineni Sudarshan, Bagam Hemanth Rao and Rayala Chandra Sekhar Rao condemned the BJP government policies and demanded immediate roll back of the increased prices of petrol, diesel and essential commodities.
They said the BJP government at the Centre had failed to implement its election promises. Already people are suffering without salaries and various other issues during Covid-19 outbreak, at this time, the Central government had increased the rates, which is not the right thing, they added that both BJP and TRS governments have failed to give welfare fruits to the people.
CPM, CPI, CPI (ML) leaders P Prasad, N Nageswara Rao, G Venkateswar Rao, M Moulana, Jitender Reddy, S Narasimha Rao, SK Jhanimiya, Lakshminarayana, K Venkateswara Rao, Y Vikram and others participated the programme.
