Khammam: Mentally-ill man chews off police constable's little finger

Khammam: A man attacked a police constable at one town police station in Khammam on Tuesday.

According to sources, the accused, Mastan, came to the police station during midnight to lodge a complaint and entered into an argument with constable Masood Ali.

During the argument, he bit constable's thighs and cut off a part of constable's little finger.

There were no other policemen in the station when the alleged attack took place.

After the incident, the injured constable was taken to a private hospital for treatment. It was learned that the attacker was taken into police custody.
