Khammam: Needy looking for helping hands
Khammam: Still jobless, daily labourers, professionals and worker, working in different sectors in the erstwhile Khammam district, are waiting for the good Samaritans and voluntary organisations, who helped the needy when there are few cases and disappeared when cases are high.
In the wake of continuous lockdown and increasing positive cases across both the districts, many people are not getting jobs and are confined to house still due to lack of work in both districts.
According to information, thousands of private employees and daily labourers are jobless till date in Khammam and Bhadradri -Kothagudem districts. These two districts are known for high tribal population, who are very poor and live in remote villages. Still many people of these areas don't have sanitisers and masks. Volunteer organisations and good-hearted people have come out in a big way when corona positive cases are very less and rescued needy people in different ways.
But when cases are increasing across the country, donors, good Samaritans including organisations have disappeared. The government has allegedly stopped helping the poor people.
Employees and daily labourers, who did not get jobs, are waiting for help from either private or the government.
