Khammam: Papers filed for DCCB chairperson, director posts

Khammam: The nomination filing for the posts of District Cooperative Central Bank Chairman and Directors posts in the district was held on Tuesday. With the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi candidates winning 80 of 97 society chairperson posts in erstwhile Khammam district, there seems to be no competition for the posts from Congress, CPM, CPI and Telugu Desam.

On Tuesday, the chairpersons of PACS who won on TRS ticket filed their nomination papers. Raghunadhapalem PAC chairman Kurakula Naga Bhushanam, who has been nominated by the TRS, filed his papers on the day. Similarly, for the post of DCCB vice-chairperson, Intoori Shekar from Kusumanchi and for post of directors, Lakkineni Surender (Tekulapally) Ch Krishnaiah (Sathupalli) B Laxman (Kalluri), D Vekateswara Rao (Madhira), B Rajasekhar (Wyra), A Venkateswara Reddy (Yerrupalem) Ch Venu Gopal (Tirumalayapalem), N Pulla Rao (Aswaraopeta), J Koteshwara Rao (Yellandu), K Tirupathi Rao (Cherla), Y Chandraiah (Nelokondapalli) and M Malli Babu Yadav (Panditapuram) filed their nomination papers.

According to sources, the chairperson and directors would be elected unanimously for those posts and the election would be conducted on February 28.
