Khammam: Puvvada, Nama inspect Railway Over Bridge works at Damsalapuram

Khammam: Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar has inspected the ongoing Railway Over Bridge (RoB) works at Damsalapuram in Khammam on Thursday. The Minister along with Khammam MP Nama Nageswara Rao and District Collector RV Karnan visited the site. Directing the officials concerned to complete the construction works in six months, Puvvada informed that Rs 70 crore has already been sanctioned for the bridge works.

Before his visit to Damsalapuram, the Minister visited the Kasturba Gandhi School at Velugumatla and inaugurated the additional classrooms. Addressing the gathering, Puvvada informed that the State government was spending more on the education sector and in this regard, it has sanctioned huge funds for Khammam district. Collector RV Karnan added that the government had spent over Rs 2 crore for the construction of additional classrooms in the said school.

Later, the Minister distributed the cheques worth Rs 28 lakh to the 28 beneficiaries of Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes at his camp office. MLC Balasani Laxminarayana, Mayor Dr. Papalal among others accompanied the Minister.
