Khammam: Release Rythu Bandhu Scheme(RBS) money to Kharif farmers, CPI demands government

Khammam: Demanding the Central and the State governments to solve farmers issues, the leaders and workers of Communist Party of India took out a huge rally from the party office to the office of Joint Director of Agriculture, and tried to lay siege to it. However, the police stopped and dispersed them.

Later, speaking at a meeting in the town, party district secretary Bagam Hemanth Rao accused both the State and the Central governments of not taking initiative to solve the issues of farmers in the State and in the country.

Adding that both the governments failed to implement the poll promises, Rao accused the State government of not extending Rythu Bandhu Scheme (RBS) benefits to farmers for the present Kharif season.

Demanding the government to immediately release the RBS money to farmers, he also sought the government to extend crop loans to all eligible farmers besides giving them the passbooks.

The CPI leader also urged the Agriculture department officials to implement the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana immediately in the State. Later, the leaders of CPI and Rythu Sangham submitted a memorandum to the agricultural officers.

Party leaders P Prasad, D Suresh and Moulana, Rythu Sangham leaders A Ramakotaiah, M Venkat Reddy, M Nageswara Rao, S Narasimha Rao, Jithendra Reddy, Latha Devi, D Ramesh, Rammurthy, Mallikarjun, Sudhakar and others took part in the rally.
