Khammam: Sathupally civic chief promises to solve the drinking water issue

Sathupally (Khammam): Sathupally Municipal chairman Kusampudi Mahesh, speaking to The Hans India on Wednesday for the first time after being elected as the chairman, promised to bring Godavari water to all wards in the Sathupally municipality and solve the other issues plaguing the municipality with the support of local MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah.

He said the municipality was planning to construct under drainage system in all wards in coming up days. Appealing to the people to cooperate with the officials, he said strict action would be taken against those who demand bribe to carry out works. Adding that providing good administration to people was the main goal of him, the chairman said locals and traders must join hands to make the municipality green by taking up the plantation drive on a large scale. He thanked the people of the municipality for electing him as the chairman.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi working president and MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao appreciated the newly-elected Sathupally municipal chairman Kusampudi Mahesh on Wednesday. The chairman along with ward members of the municipality, Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar, local MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy met KTR at the TRS Bhavan in Hyderabad. On the occasion, KTR congratulated the newly-elected municipal chiefs and the councillors. He also appreciated MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah for his efforts towards unanimous elections in six wards of the Sathupally municipality. Municipal vice-chairperson Sujala Rani and other ward members were also present.
