Khammam stayed away from cash politics: Renuka

Khammam: Congress candidate from Khammam Lok Sabha constituency Renuka Chowdhury on Friday thanked the voters, party workers and officials for peaceful conclusion of first phase of general elections in the State, particularly in the district.

"Khammam district proved itself as a model for the country. By staying away from cash politics and other influences, people of Khammam showed dignity in elections," she said addressing a press meet in the city.

She thanked election officers, police officers and people for helping in conducting peaceful and uneventful elections and also thanked party leaders, followers and party members, who worked restlessly to see the party successful in the district.

She expressed her gratitude and happiness for having the chance to celebrate this year's Ugadi festival with the people of Khammam district.
