Khammam: TRS party leaders in the district are lobbying hard to grab the District Co-operative Central Bank chairman and Vice Chairman posts.

According to sources, more than five leaders who were elected as society presidents are in the fray and are lobbying through the Minister, MP and former MP at high command.

It is learnt the former DCCB president Muvva Vijaya Babu, Tulluri Brahmaiah, Manadapau Sudhakar Kurakula Nagabhushanam and Borra Rajasekhar are trying their best to grab the chairman post.

While Muvva Vijaya Babu seeks help from TRS working president and Minister K Taraka Rama Rao, Tulluri Brahmaiah is trying through MP Nama Nageswara Rao, Manadapu Sudhakar and Kurakula Nagabhushanam are seeking help of Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar to get the coveted post.

Another leader Borra Rajasekhar is trying through former MP Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy. Former chairmen and directors are also in the race and they are lobbying at party high command level.

Meanwhile, a section of party workers and leaders want the chairman post for the BC candidate. The BC leaders expressed their opinion in one meeting with the Minister Ajay Kumar and other senior party leaders.

They appealed to allot the chairman post to a BC candidate this time. On the other hand, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has already informed that he would send names of chairman and vice chairman in sealed covers. The ruling party won majority seats out of 97 society presidents.

Elected representatives are waiting for election notification which would be released on Tuesday for filling the posts.

However, the ball is in the party chief K Chandrashekar's court. Only he will decide who will become the chairman of DCCB.
