Khammam: Wild bear creates panic among Kottur villagers

Khammam: Villagers of Kottur of Julurpad mandal were in the grip of fear after spotting a wild bear in their village on Wednesday night. After getting information from the villagers, Forest Range Officer Nagasai Prasad, along with the staff visited the village on Thursday and started searching for the wild bear.

A villager, K Somesewara Rao said that he woke up after hearing strange sounds when he and his family members were sleeping in front of their house on Wednesday night. When he saw a wild bear coming towards him, he woke up all the villagers and the bear ran into the forest. The villagers felt that due to the blasting for the construction of Sri Sitarama Lift Irrigation canal, animals in the nearby forest are coming into villages.
